A good solder joint means that the surface is full and bright without pores and slag. After cutting, the profile is integrated without pores and defects. For example, the dust, grease, oxide or other attachments on the surface of the welded object must be removed to make it clean and bright before welding. Otherwise, the electrical conductivity and mechanical properties of the welded joint will be affected. Moreover, if the residue left in the mold is not completely removed, the solder joint surface will not be bright and smooth.

Therefore, we need to pay attention to is to get rid of water vapor, and then clean the welded object, clean the mold. In the use of welding powder, each package of welding powder should correspond to a solder joint, and the brand of welding powder should correspond to the mold, and it should be carefully checked and confirmed before use. When the welding powder leaves the factory, it has taken multi-layer protection for its moisture-proof measures, but it is recommended to keep it properly to avoid being affected by damp again.

2¡¢ Exothermic flux for cathodic protection materials

When it comes to exothermic welding products, it has to be said that exothermic flux. Exothermic flux, also known as thermite flux, is used to heat the molten metal produced by the thermite reaction between metal and aluminum to realize welding. The welding technology is easy to operate, does not need external energy, and the welding quality is stable and reliable.

Thermite flux is mainly used for butt welding between copper core cable and steel structure or copper core cable. Besides cathodic protection of chemical steel pipe for petroleum, gas and natural gas, it is also used for welding power cable. There are two welding properties. One is that the resistance of the welding joint should be equal to the base metal of the cable; the other is that the strength of the solder joint is greater than the bearing capacity of the copper core cable after welding.

I will also tell you about the details of welding. Firstly, the cable is inserted into the welding mold and placed on the pipe in parallel. Then, the steel sheet is placed on the top of the inner hole of the welding mold to cover the inner hole. Then, the thermit flux and igniter are placed on the top of the copper sheet in turn, and ignited directly with the ignition gun. After ignition, cover the top cover of the welding mold quickly, and wait for the combustion to be completed. It should be noted that before welding, rust and oil should be removed from the pipe surface.
