If the storage medium is conductive, cathodic protection can be carried out in a flat bottom tank. At the bottom of the tank, water and impurities often cause corrosion separation. Fuel oil manufacturers and suppliers usually take measures to prevent electrolyte solution from entering, because they can harm the purity of the oil and damage the heating circuit at the bottom of the tank.
The suction pipe of oil tank should be arranged correctly to prevent electrolyte from being sucked out.
