Potential measurement under stray current interference

In order to avoid the corrected potential of protection potential, the tube ground potential should be set to a larger negative value than that without stray current, which is safer.

According to the record, the position of the pipe to ground potential without IR drop can be determined when the stray current source is not working. If the actual measured potential of these points is greater than the protection potential, it can be considered that there is sufficient cathodic protection. In order to estimate the grounding potential of cathodic protection pipeline without IR drop during the operation of stray current generator, the real polarization state can be obtained by using polarization test probe.
