Classification of auxiliary anode ground bed

If a site is available and the upper soil resistivity is low, the anode can be set horizontally. The anode clamp can be connected to the bus bar in parallel with 3 epoxy clamps, which can keep the output current of each cable connected to the bus bar in parallel with 4 cables.

The main current cable between anode ground bed and rectifier must be well insulated. Therefore, double plastic sheath should be used for nyy-o cable. During installation, the cable sheath shall not be damaged because the copper core exposed to the sheath defect is corroded by anode electrolysis in a very short period of time, thus cutting off the connection with the rectifier. The damage of cable sheath will not be serious if single anode leads out separately. In general, all core insulation will not be damaged, so the operation of anode ground bed will not be interrupted. In addition, resistance measurement and defect detection are easier.

At present, the single anode device is only used to protect the places with low current or continuous anode bed, such as jungle or swamp. The vertical anode is generally 1.2m long and installed in the center of the borehole, with a depth of 2M and a diameter of 0.3m. The hole for vertical anode can be dug by hand or by electric drill. Coke slag with thickness of 0.2m is laid at the bottom of the hole, and auxiliary anode is placed on the coke.

Deep well anode is installed in the place where the surface soil resistivity is higher and the soil resistivity decreases with the depth. It is suggested that the installation form is suitable for the cathodic protection in densely populated areas, as well as small local space and small voltage cone, so as to avoid interference to external structure. When the auxiliary anode is used, not only the air cushion layer or electroosmotic dehydration will increase the resistance, but also the anode ground bed temperature will increase under adverse conditions due to resistance heating.

The main output power of anode protection rectifier is to introduce the protection current of anode ground bed into soil. The installation cost of single pole or very short continuous horizontal anode is low, but the annual electricity cost is very high. On the contrary, if a large number of single anodes are installed or these anodes are installed on a long continuous coke bed, the annual electricity cost is lower, but the installation cost is higher. The total annual cost must be determined according to the specific protection current requirements and soil resistivity to achieve the best design.
